Swift Drilling
Swift Drilling is a joint venture between Cofely Oil & Gas BV and Jack-Up Barge BV. With the new drilling platform, Swift Drilling B.V. elaborates on the ‘small field policy’ of Shell for the North Sea.
The new rig is a high-tech offshore drilling installation, smaller and more efficient than the usual platforms. It is specially designed for the water depths and weather conditions of the southern North Sea resulting in significantly lower drilling costs. Drilling is expected to begin by the end of 2010.
