August 28, 2012. Antwerp-based Scaldis Salvage and Marine Contractors ordered the Star fleet management system and related implementation services with Dutch company MirTac. Scaldis, well-known for amongst others the heavy-lifting/floating crane vessel Rambiz, chose MirTac after a thorough selection process with multiple suppliers.

The Star solution combined with MirTac’s expertise excelled in transparency, user friendliness and an outstanding knowledge of our business. Antwerp-based Scaldis Salvage and Marine Contractors performs projects involving marine-based heavy lifts, ranging from engineering, design and diving up to heavy-lifting. Scaldis’ fleet consists of multipurpose sea-going heavy lift vessel Rambiz and multipurpose sheerleg Norma. The Rambiz is fully certified for ocean passage with cranes fully erected and has a lifting capacity of 3.300 tons. She is suitable for platform installation and removal, wreckage removal and other special heavy lifting tasks.
